  I am seething mad right now!!!! My husband and I bought our house in south dade in 2000. We used Buyers Title out of Plantation for our Title company. We had no problems at closing, BUT now when we are selling our home we have had to spend upwards of a couple thousand dollars (not to mention aggravation and money lost due to the postponing of our current closing) to clear up open permits from 1992!!! I called Buyer's Title when the current title search was done and found to have these open permits and they were completely disinterested in owning up to THEIR mistake of not informing us of these open permits at our closing!! I cannot wait to get out of So. Florida, I've never seen such a bunch of dishonest, disinterested business practices as I have dealt with and Buyer's Title takes the prize!! If I could give them 0 stars I would!

  Nice people but terrible at their job. They "noted" a shared well agreement (we were unaware of when we purchased the property) in the title insurance exclusions - never provided a copy of the shared well agreement to us and never brought it to our attention at settlement. When the issue came up later with the adjacent property owner, they said we could not file a claim under the title insurance as it was listed as an exclusion. The document it was listed on wasn't signed or initialed by us and wasn't reviewed by them to us - they say they are supposed to work on your behalf but they only cover their own asses. We had no choice to use them as it was a Fannie Mae property. BEWARE!!!
